About Me.

Hey there, my name is Lucas Avery, and I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Florida going into my 5th year. I am majoring in Biological Engineering, minoring in Entomology, and minoring in Economics. I have done/am doing research in several fields, ranging from packaging engineering, controlled environment agriculture, and beekeeping technology.

I have been in Gainesville, Florida for about 11 years now, but after graduation, I am looking to work and complete more courses abroad. Outside of academics, I enjoy rock climbing and all manner of outdoor/nature-y activities. I tie dye most of my clothing, and I can whip up one of the best chocolate chip cookies you have ever tasted (or your money back, guaranteed).
